TMCNet: Record Visitors for HOB at RSA Conference 2016

[March 22, 2016]

Record Visitors for HOB at RSA Conference 2016

The German software manufacturer HOB had a record number of visitors at this year's RSA (News - Alert) Conference 2016 in San Francisco. At their exhibit booth, the specialists for secure remote access presented their visitors with four days of opportunity to be informed about secure remote access, enterprise mobility, secure Internet of Things and SSL & IPsec VPNs. The IT solutions "made in Germany" convinced the international audience of experts with their high level of security and performance. Attention was focused on the proprietary SSL-implementation HOB-SSL as the alternative to OpenSSL, as well as the secure remote access solution HOB RD VPN.

Great interest was also generated by the presentation of the latest version of the leading Java-RDP Client HOBLink JWT 4.1. Version 4.1 of the enterprise RDP client impresses with new business functions, such as:

  • Full monitor support for up to 16 monitors
  • Automatic Java WebStart support
  • RDP 7 video redirection
  • VMware Horizon View compatibility
  • Microsoft (News - Alert) RD Gateway support

Just as with previous versions, HOBLink JWT 4.1 is also available as a Plug-in for the appliances of leading manufacturers. HOBLink JWT 4.1 has already been successfully tested and deployed as a Plug-in for Cisco ASA, F5 Big-IP APM and Pulse Secure PSA and MAG Series.

Another highlight of this year's RSA conference was the presentation of HOB's proprietary SSL-implementation HOB-SSL, which is part of HOBLink Secure for Apache. HOB has recognized the risks associated with open source implementations such as OpenSSL and, in response, developed the highly secure closed source alternative HOB-SSL. Hereby, on the Apache HTTP server the mod_ssl is replaced by the mod_hob_ssl. This change can be made within a few minutes and ensures that the Apache HTTP server uses the certified HOB-SSL implementation for SSL encryption. For the encryption itself the proprietary and Common Criteria EAL 4+ certified Random Number Generator, with an entropy of over 50 bits is used.

After the great success at this year's RSA Conference, HOB has already announced their participation for 2017. For more information on HOB and the high-security remote access solutions "made in Germany," please visit our Website www.hobsoft.com.
