Atlantis HyperScale Offers All-Flash Hyperconvergence at Bargain Prices
Advancements in building and maintaining network infrastructure have yielded a wide array of choices for firms looking to get the most out of a network. But as is the case in any environment where there are plenty of choices, making the less-than-optimal one is almost assured. But for those who take a look at Atlantis's new Atlantis HyperScale, there may be a great decision waiting in the wings.
The Atlantis HyperScale represents the first such system of its class, described as a “turn-key hyper-converged appliance” that delivers all of its applications via an all-flash array, making for impressive speeds. What's more, the HyperScale can be used with a variety of different server hardware options, ranging from HP to Cisco and beyond, as well as even Citrix or VMware hypervisors. Those concerned about quality need fear little, as the system includes a complete three-year service program, covering not just the appliance involved but also the software, the hypervisor, and beyond. Better yet, the system can even be scaled upward or downward as needed thanks to its modular nature, allowing companies to build upward in 12 or 24 terabyte increments rather than just having to buy a new complete storage array every time an upgrade is in the cards.
In what may be not only the biggest selling point of the Atlantis HyperScale system, but also potentially any other system, the Atlantis system is set to offer up its services with up to 90 percent cost savings over some of its alternatives, and the system actually comes in under 50 percent of the cost of many other options. Since a 12 terabyte all-flash four-server cluster, according to reports, starts at around $78,000, Atlantis can offer some major savings thanks to a low entry point and scalability from there. It helps further that Atlantis HyperScale needs no proprietary hardware nor multiple-tier drive systems to operate.
Costs are important to most every business of most every size these days, and keeping them down is a top priority. But the fine line in cost-cutting emerges when performance starts to be impacted in the process; cutting fat out of a budget is important, but what happens when muscle, even bone, are cut instead? That's a recipe for lost opportunity, and tools like Atlantis HyperScale are working to make that decision easier to make. The fat is more readily removed while the bone and sinew are left alone to handle the heavy lifting businesses need. And if it costs more to put the network infrastructure upgrades in place than can be realized from the new equipment, then why bother? With Atlantis HyperScale offering plenty of power at comparatively low prices, there's more reason to bring it into play.
Everyone has an eye on the bottom line these days, regardless of business size. From the sole proprietorship to the Fortune 500 enterprise, more revenue and less expense are the way to go.
