GTT Strengthens SD-WAN with Interoute Acquisition

The future of networking is undeniably software-defined and cloud-powered. This consensus is driving networking solution providers to solidify portfolios in the “gold rush” to come. With adoption mounting and curiosity piqued, SD-WAN is on the precipice of extensive market growth, making it a much wanted technology in this period of positioning.

This week, GTT completed the acquisition of Interoute. GTT is a cloud networking provider to clients around the globe, and with the purchase of Interoute it gains one of the most sizable independent fiber networks in Europe.

In specific, GTT will be compiling a comprehensive cloud networking portfolio, boasting on the largest fiber footprints in Europe, a strong customer base, enhanced SD-WAN solution set, in addition to a new sales, operations and customer service personnel and structure.

Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.

Fiber Mountain is exhibiting at Cisco Live! In Las Vegas for the first time ever! Our first day was hugely successful from just about any perspective - from quantity and quality of booth visitors to successful meetings with customers.
