Cloud Fabric 5.0: Huawei Ushering in Cloud Era
CTOs are embracing SDN with arms wide open; initial trepidation has given way to enthusiasm as we move further into a software-defined future. From the data center and the contact center to the executive suite, network performance is mission critical to success and SDN is sure to set up operations for an automated, agile and efficient outlook.
At the recently concluded Huawei Connect 2016, Huawei unveiled its Cloud Fabric 5.0 solution for cloud solutions, utilizing a Huawei Fabric Insight Refined Operations and Maintenance (O&) Solution. In place, the solution detects faults in a fraction of the time of traditional means. In leveraging visualized network status measurement and management coupled with data-driven intelligence, the software defined solution lowers cost and increases efficiency for customers.
“The Huawei Fabric Insight Refined O&M Solution implements service-oriented O&M and management, helping customers enable intelligent
network O&M, reduce obstacles during cloud-based service migration, and accelerate cloud transformation and upgrades,” said Yu Li, General Manager, Data Center Network Domain, Huawei.
Network O & M is simplified by providing network –wide visualization. Network status is readily analyzed and measured based on a number of metrics to ensure operations, the network and applications are functioning at a high level.
In addition, network-wide path quality scanning offers insight into network path quality. Frequently, network status is analyzed, which results in dynamically adjusted network paths to ensure optimum performance. Faults are automatically located at the service level, and a big data analytics algorithm ensures network paths and faults.
The data center of today is far removed from its rudimentary roots. Leveraging innovation in the cloud, virtualization and the power of software, CTOs sense the benefit in maintaining a future forward mindset. The transformation is upon us, you in? There’s nothing wrong with having your head in the cloud.
