Juniper is Transforming Network Infrastructure for Cloud Environments with Unite Cloud
For communication service providers (CSPs) and enterprises, cloud migration has become more complicated as the number of services users are deploying continues to increase. The cloud is no longer used just to store information, everything from software to communications, infrastructure, platforms, security and more can now be delivered through the cloud. This has led network and data center operators to deploy transforming network infrastructure to simplify the migration process and handled the massive volumes of traffic these services are generating. Juniper Networks has introduced a new platform called Unite Cloud to provide an end-to-end solution which is also simplifying the creation and management of hybrid and multi-cloud environments with a transformative data center framework.
Unite Cloud is part of Juniper Networks Unite, an enterprise architecture created to deliver a secure and agile platform. Based on this system, Unite Cloud was developed to introduce new levels of efficiency to data centers across different functions. According to Juniper, it will increase long-term return on investment while lowering the total cost of ownership.
As part of the comprehensive data center solutions Juniper provides, Unite Cloud is going to be integrating several technologies from the company. This includes an improved version of Junos Space Network Director management application to analyze and control data centers by leveraging advanced automation. A new Juniper Networks Contrail JumpStart service to lower the risk for enterprises to the can quickly deploy technologies that allows them to integrate cloud solutions easily, and the new QFX5110 switch with 100 Gigabit (GB) to scale with transforming network infrastructure that is taking place with evolving bandwidth demands.
"The move to hybrid, multi-cloud IT is accelerating with workloads migrating to cloud data centers at lightspeed. Enterprises require agility and elasticity for applications or services to be spun up quickly and managed efficiently and securely with limited resources. With the solutions announced today, Juniper is changing the landscape for IT leaders who are in search of open, automated and secure solutions to deploy hybrid cloud environments," said Denise Shiffman, senior vice president, Juniper Development and Innovation, Juniper Networks.
New applications, services and technologies are requiring the building and management of transforming network infrastructure. Juniper Unite was introduced in 2015 as an architecture for the enterprise as well as data center, campus and branch for making the design and building of network infrastructure with coherent management that will meet the specific needs of organizations. Unite Cloud provides the building blocks for managing public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, and to also scale with evolving business needs while supporting new products and services in the marketplace.
