Cloudian HyperCloud for Azure Now Available
Personally, I’m not one to buy in to the first generation of technology solutions. Whether it’s a smartphone or a server, you won’t find me first in line. It’s fair to say many felt this way about cloud computing when it arrived, but the time of hesitation is long gone. Cloud computing is a key component to digital transformation, touching all points of technology. The cloud is no passing fad.
Today, Cloudian announced the general availability of Cloudian HyperCloud for Microsoft Azure, which pairs the enterprise-ready S3 API interface to Azure Blob Storage creating an enterprise-grade solution that enables S3-compatible applications to connect with Azure Blob Storage.
"Cloudian HyperCloud for Azure is a game-changer for public cloud storage, enabling true bi-modal data storage across multiple cloud environments," said Michael Tso, Cloudian CEO and co-founder. "For the first time, customers have a fully supported, enterprise-ready solution to access their choice of cloud platforms from their S3-compliant applications. Customers can be up and running in minutes by launching HyperCloud from the Microsoft Azure Marketplace."
Aside from access to the complete Azure application ecosystem, there are a number of benefits to the Cloudian HyperCloud for Azure release. For starters, the solution offers encryption support for data. It can be deployed on multiple Azure Virtual Machines in parallel to meet scalability and performance requirements. Users can easily manage data across a multi-cloud environment using a common S3 API. And, the native S3 API implementation promises exceptional S3 application compatibility. In addition to the easy deployment process, all data is stored in native Azure Blob format and is easily accessed via Azure Blob APIs.
"With the growth of hybrid cloud deployments, customers need solutions that let them quickly and reliably connect cloud storage to all their applications," said Tad Brockway, general manager of Azure Storage at Microsoft. "Cloudian HyperCloud lets users both connect and migrate their S3-compatible applications to Azure Blob Storage in minutes, further accelerating hybrid cloud adoption at Microsoft."
Digital transformation is driving much in the way of change. From the contact center and c-suite, to the data center and beyond the digital era is upon us.
