NEC/Netcracker, Telco Systems Team Up On NFV Service Chains
The notion of implementing SDN and NFV into the network is no longer novel. As Marc Andressen so accurately proclaimed years back that software is eating the world, today this feast is in full swing. From the data center and network infrastructure, to the c-suite and the conference room, the software-defined revolution is at hand.
This week, Telco Systems announced a new partnership with NEC/Netcracker to provide a joint solution, a pairing of Telco Systems’ NFVTime and the NEC/Netcracker NaaS solution to aid in the deployment of NFV service chains across data centers and at customer premises.
"Together, NEC/Netcracker and Telco Systems are collaborating in the NaaS market and developing solutions that enable service providers to quickly launch new multivendor value-added services at the network edge, capitalizing on the incredible opportunity to better serve the enterprise market," said Aidan Dunleavy, Director of Partner Alliances at Netcracker.
By integrating TecoSystems’ NFVTime with VNFs into the NEC/Netcracker NaaS, full-stack solution that includes service design, VNF onboarding, hybrid operations, digital marketplace in a complete business environment, service providers take advantage of the NEC/Netcracker Ecosystem 2.0 program and leverage uCPE to rapidly deploy NFV service chains that include VNFs in the NFV data center in addition to the customer’s premises.
Including a carrier-class NFVi-OS, robust portfolio of certified, centrally managed and orchestrated VNFs, NFVTime runs on an off-the-shelf white box to enable MSPs and telcos exceptional agility in deploying a VNF service chain. Whether it’s SD-WAN, vSecurity or the vRouter, deployment can be done so remotely and with plug-and-play provisioning.
"Enabling telcos with NFV-based customer self-service capabilities to manage their deployed VNFs is an important new differentiator that we offer the market," explained Raanan Tzemach, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Telco Systems. "We are excited to join forces with NEC/Netcracker and are confident that these unique capabilities for which we are already experiencing a strong demand will lead to significant new business."
The networking world is in a phase of rapid change. The rigid, legacy solutions of the past struggle to keep up with the demands of business, and as service providers seek a prosperous future through innovation; software-defined solutions serve to save the day.
