Transforming Network Infrastructure Week in Review: Barracuda, Ericsson, IoT & More

Puppet has welcomed Barracuda, Cisco, Microsoft, and Nutanix to its ecosystem. It’s also introduced some new additions to its product portfolio. These new partners will help Puppet and its customers replace manual, error-prone processes with automated solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. Puppet Chief Product Officer Omri Gazitt explained, “The investments that we’re making in our partner ecosystem deliver on Puppet’s vision of empowering people to do more of what they love by helping them automate manual, error-prone processes across traditional infrastructure, cloud, containers, networking, and application development.” All the details are HERE.

A new Ericsson study, Exploring IoT Strategies, reportedly provides insights on Internet of Things (IoT) value chain positioning from 20 leading telecom service providers globally as they engage with, and position themselves in, the IoT market. “The report confirms the importance of IoT to the current and future business of leading service providers, no matter where they operate in the world,” said Jeff Travers, Head of IoT, Ericsson. Telit recently announced that Siemens customers can begin using the company’s deviceWISE IoT Platform for integrating a wide range of Industrial IoT assets using MindSphere, Siemens' cloud-based, open IoT operating system. Tuesday was Day 2 of Cisco Live for Fiber Mountain and we continued to experience high levels of traffic, with many high value decision makers and influencers visiting our booth. One very interesting difference from most conferences I attend is that there are no titles on anyone's show badges. This allows open conversations without people being pretentious. I think this is a very good idea.
