SD-WAN Empowers Improved Performance
Network modernization is an involved project, to say the least. Each phase builds on the previous to create a future-forward network capable of supporting the demands of the cloud era, with the end user experience proving exceptional.
Today, Europac announced an expanded partnership with GTT, which is delivering enhanced network performance via GTT’s SD-WAN. When deployment is completed, Europac’s 18 paper and packaging as well as its six waste management facilities in Portugal, Spain and France will immediately feel a positive impact.
David Casas, head of infrastructure and communications at the Europac Group, noted, “GTT’s network and communications services enable us to accelerate and support the integration of our internal operations across Europe. SD-WAN adds flexibility and allows us to optimize our network to support our cloud-based applications, which is a fundamental aspect of the company’s digital strategy.”
GTT’s SD-WAN solution promises to improve the performance of Europac’s applications and services operating out of a central cloud architecture, which allows for greater efficiency throughout the supply chain in addition to enhanced VoIP services stemming from its Madrid data center.
“GTT is redefining global communications to serve clients such as Europac,” stated Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO. “We help our clients connect people across their organizations, around the world and to every application in the cloud.”
The cloud is no passing fad, and SD-WAN is winning the day as the preferred path of migration. The future is riding the wave of software-defined networking taking place, and those choosing to hang ten will reap the rewards.
